Pugsley is a hobby project by Peter D Bethke: an Adeept RaspClaws hexapod kit, a Raspberry Pi 4, a camera, and eventually a speaker, a microphone and a language model to direct it.

How these posts are written

The posts are co-written with Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Claude does a lot of the hands-on work too: configuring the Pi, reading the kit's code, and debugging. So the posts are drafted from what actually happened in those sessions, then reviewed before they go up.

The rule is simple: a post only describes things that were actually done and run. When something is an estimate, it says so. When something broke, the post says that too.

What is left out on purpose

Details of the home network, such as addresses, network names and passwords, are kept out of the posts. So are any settings that would make the robot easier to reach than it should be.
